If you’ve seen my recent posts about the resurgence in the Powersports field – I find myself twisting an imaginary throttle saying “This never became un-cool, or lost its excitement”. COVID did the industry a huge favor by shutting out other distractions and leaving 2-wheeled sports as “ESSENTIAL” in most states. Robert Pandya‘s initiative with getting kids on balance bikes early is brilliant. Unfortunately, when Millenials and Gen-Z seemed too aloof to the OEM’s they tried to re-leverage their existing audience instead of changing the narrative.

I think Royal Enfield is a prime example lately of getting out of that box. I see KTM making decent strides as well. My gut tells me Polaris has a bunch up their sleeve as well.

A simple question to ask business leaders – OEM, Dealer, or otherwise… “When was the last time you provided professional communication training for your staff?”. If they don’t invest – there is no return.
