Even though much of the content here is business-oriented, I still often voice that I am a person of faith. More specifically, I am a professed Christian and Jesus is my Lord. As I see tons of content about different things in the news feed lately, I am compelled to draw a line. Faith is resiliency, not weakness.

The barrage of content after another trans young person goes on a shooting spree, and the targeting of faithful people — both literally in gun shots but also in the press is completely off-point.

First off, this is not an exclusive club. Anyone can come, and all are invited. Once you accept Christ, you begin to recognize that life doesn’t get easier. In fact, it can get harder. But if you accept Him as Lord you are never alone. Some say religion is a crutch. In some cases I may even agree with you… but religion is not the same as a relationship with the creator of the universe.

One of the shooter’s magazines in Minneapolis read “Where is your god? He had no idea that God was right there. We can do all things through God that strengthens us. I have long thought that Big Pharma and our declining social mental health have been to blame for many incidents in recent history.

Scripture warns us that there will be persecution. There will be hate. It is the faith in God and His son Jesus – in conjunction with the power of the Holy Spirit that lives within us to overcome, endure, and heal.

Sadly, people mistake faith as a doormat to be walked on. People assume that our tolerance is an open door to foolishness. While Christians suffer tempatations, flaws, and yes… feelings of “hate” at times… we also recognize that our faith in God commands us to seek a life more like Christ.

Was it easy for Jesus? Cursed, tortured, and executed as an innocent man – life was not easy. Unlike us, where God is with us always… it is said that God turned his face from Jesus at death as He took on the sins of the world to save us. So, we should not expect it to be easy either. However, we know He is with us and loves us.

For non-believers, this can be very difficult to reconcile. Someone must be held accountable.

I have personal friends who are in “transition” and I love them. I pray for them. While I may not agree with the actions they are taking based on their internal thoughts or feelings… I still love them. My family has direct friends who lead alternative lifestyles (if that is still a phrase) and guess what? They know we have different thoughts on that lifestyle, but we still share meals and conversations.

I am not constantly banging them over the head with scripture, but they know I am an open book and open to conversation whenever they choose it. I am not going to force people to get baptized and take communion, in the same way that I would not be in favor of Sharia law being implemented in our country.

My openness to other lifestyles and life choices is not a weakness. It is human. Telling Christians not to bother praying in the face of obstacles is a waste of breath. We are resilient. God is with us. For non-believers, this is hard to conceptualize… but as my own life has suffered many ups and downs, it is the solace of knowing that God is with me until the end that has given hope, energy, and optimism with motivation to continue growing and going.

Too many things make zero sense right now, and some of us believe this is leading somewhere. When an LGBT Satanist resigns from a supposedly scientific position, but writes a letter absent of science and full of ideology – that is a sign. When the procedures that are supposed to bring relief create more violence – that is a sign. When medical professionals can’t answer basic medical questions – that is a sign. When people openly celebrate the murder of children – that is a sign. When facts roll out about the pandemic fraud and the masses still line up for Big Pharma – that is a sign. I am so glad I have God and He has me.
