Targeted content means content that is written for a specific audience for a specific purpose.

I drive the 91 Freeway in SoCal quite a bit. I have to admit, when they change out a giant road sign, I typically do notice the change. However, if I asked myself how many times a road sign made me buy something… that would be a totally different story. In today’s marketplace, how can mass-media advertising offer value against the proportionately rich but affordable approach to Targeted Marketing on Social?

Targeted content means content that is written for a specific audience for a specific purpose. To target the content, the quality of content plays a very important role. And content targeting should be done with the help of a proper and well-defined strategy.

If you have the budget to hire the professionals to do the marketing for you, hit up Manana No Mas! and we’ll do a needs assessment to get your brand inserted in our portfolio. Let’s take a look now at SIX ideas to help you focus the Target of your Marketing

1. Specific Niche

First, you must have a specific niche for your content strategy. There is no need to change your brand or content strategy. It will help you gain trust from a specific audience. Later, after gaining a good following by generating brand awareness, you can make it more general. You can easily differentiate your product by specifying a line of service.

This catches some folks out. When I got started in my Professional Speaking and Leadership path, I focused on Fixed Operations in the Powersports field. That means I taught Service Writers and Service Managers in the motorcycle industry how to increase their business. Over the years, we’ve seen a 47% growth in parts and labor sales for Dealers that chose to work with me. Now, with this type of success, I can reach out and expand my reach to general business. People want to see your results in your strength zone before they jump on the train with you.

2. Buyers’ Persona

After identifying your target market, to understand the market you have to create a buyer persona. One of the most effective strategies to create your buyer persona is to interview your existing customers. It will help you to find out who is your average customer. It will help you to define the right subjects. It sucks to put in a bunch of time and effort (and money) into developing a product that doesn’t meet a core need of your market. You have to constantly gauge what you are creating and promoting against what your audience wants.

A very transparent and vulnerable case study is the article you are reading right now. Over the last year, I have added multiple courses to the Manana No Mas! learning management site to help people. Finally, I promoted that the Laser Targeted Marketing course was in development and the following on social engaged. It took time. It took patience, and while the other content on the site has mad potential — it is the Targeted Marketing that is driving the flow right now.

3. Blog Segmentation

If you want to cover more topics and gain an audience from different niches, you have to segment your blog into various niches. It all depends on your content quality & volume, and your audience volume. If you are running a small organization, you can segment your category and in case of a big organization, you can set up different subdomains.

If you look at the Manana No Mas! web page (https://manananomas.com) you will see Business, Powersports Specific, Bicycling, Fitness, Leadership, and Self Development content. We have had the site for going on a decade and there is a tone of content in there. To segment the content — I use the category feature and block it out on the front page like a magazine.

4. Traffic Funnel

You can get direct traffic by using a funneling system. It will help you get your targeted content to a more specific audience. You can set up different landing pages and drive direct traffic to your blog by using onsite strategies like paid advertising. With this, you can attract your potential readers.

The “Funnel” concept is huge right now online. In fact, it’s so huge I believe the term is greatly mis-used. A funnel is simply a system you use to direct traffic to your existing primary offer or content. A simple and inexpensive way to sample funneling is to use the Mail Chimp feature to build a landing page with an opt-in. Then when people opt-in you deliver them direct content via auto-response or redirect them to your primary property. Once you get your toes wet, its fun to expand and adopt a more vigorous funnel that works harder to build a relationship with your new leads.

5. Buying Cycle

Understanding your buyers’ buying cycle is very important. Audiences respond to content that relates to their situation. You should know what your customer goes through before making a purchase and what kind of product they search for on the web. You can take advantage of responding to the buyers’ needs and finally guiding them to the buying cycle.

One of the best examples I see in our modern time here is the Dollar Shave Club. They allow you to update the frequency of your purchases. They constantly monitor your buying tendencies and make the right offer at the right time.

6. Specific Titles

This is one of the basic content strategies you must follow. Your Blog or Article title must be very specific, only then will it make a difference with your competitors. If you are doubting your title you need to work a lot more in making it more specific and attractive to your readers. You must include information that relates to your readers. Make sure your title is not too long. Short titles are more attractive and easier to understand than longer ones.

If you want to create more engaging and targeted content, you should use the above-mentioned strategies. With these, you can easily increase the overall ROI of your content marketing campaign.
